Why Astra Girl V
I couldn't have written this story until now.
For most of my life, I thought I was meant to tell stories as an actress. After graduating from UCLA, I spent years teaching yoga while auditioning, writing music, filming commercials, and coming painfully close to my dreams. But I never quite fit the characters that had already been written. So I started writing my own.
Eventually, I let go of what I thought my life was supposed to look like and started following what genuinely fascinated me. That path led me to translating complex brain science for everyday audiences, co-authoring books with doctors, publishing in scientific journals, and working alongside experts at the forefront of human health and longevity.
Looking back, I had never really changed paths; I had found a new language for exploring the same questions about purpose, the soul, and consciousness.
For the first time in history, we have created technology with the potential to reduce suffering at scale.
But the absence of suffering is not enlightenment.
What is it all for?
I believe technology should help us remember who we are.
But that isn't inevitable.
Technology reflects the values of the people who create it.
Astra Girl V is a vision of the future I want to build — where science and spirituality, intelligence and intuition, technology and humanity evolve together instead of apart.

Bio
Victoria Venkatraman
Victoria Venkatraman is a writer based in Los Angeles whose neuroscience research has been published in numerous scientific journals including Nature's Scientific Reports, Medicine, and the Journal of Psychiatric Research. She is the founder of Astra Vision and the creator of The Autobiography of Astra Girl V, a science fiction franchise about AI, consciousness, and what it means to live well.
She holds two degrees from UCLA — a BA in Communications with a focus in Film & Television, and an MBA from the Anderson School of Management in Entertainment & Marketing.
She has ghostwritten multiple books for experts and physicians, and co-authored Think Oral with Dr. Levine, featuring a foreword by Lenny Kravitz (forthcoming 2027).
She is also a singer-songwriter, and has been featured in campaigns for Toyota, Meta, Samsung, State Farm, and Hard Rock Cafe.
